A man must always be exceeding careful to show honor to his wife.
– Babylonian Talmud, Bava Mezia 59a
So, about two and a half weeks ago I posted about having no time to update my blog. Well, nothing has changed about that. I’m still just complete crazy happy about dating my wife again, and finding time to update this blog is still a challenge.
Until I find time in my schedule to post something of my own that is worthwhile, I decided to post something from a life-long hobby of mine. I’ve been collecting quotes and sayings since before High School. I figured I’d share some of the ones about marriage. I’m trying to do a bit of fact-checking, a little due diligence if you will, before I post them. If say, an actor was quoted as giving advice for the perfect marriage, and is later found to be an adulterer and a wife beater, I’d feel absolutly terrible publishing his quote. I’ll try to link the quote and the author to Wikipedia and or Wikiquote, just so you can get a better picture of the subject
Here’s the first one:
“I don’t like to discuss my marriage, but I will tell you something which may sound corny but which happens to be true. I have steak at home. Why should I go out for hamburger?” (He was heard to later add, “That doesn’t mean it’s always tender”)
